Dear Diary, It’s June 1st
from Midnight Sun · 3:09
Dear diary, I told myself I would never trust again — until he came into my life I wasn't looking for love, much less anyone to build a future with I wasn't planning to fall for someone, until him It's just limerence, and it stabs you in the back
I was amazed by how he listened How he made me feel loved and heard How he knew my favourite colour, how I love the moon, the sunset, and dogs
Every time my mouth rained fires, his ears were always there Every time I had something to say, he always found time, even in his busy days Every time I told him how I loved the silly things in life He always got me my favourite coffee, anything that crossed his mind
I asked myself why I felt this way. I was so happy and felt so brave My heart started to flutter again, coming from a relationship that didn't end well I shared my life with him, my trauma, and my past Until one day, I started liking the idea of us — But no
I told him we needed to stop He said no, and never talked back I thought things were going well Until that one Sunday lunch
He sent those long messages, where it said she wanted him back He was so ready to leave me. But when I said I would, he would want me back I wanted to stop him — but who am I? Just the girl who appreciates Dogs, Art, Rain and Iced coffee in this silly life
He chose her and let me go. Why did he lie? You chose her and let me go. Why did you lie? That's how you ended it, on the first day of June. Now it's July
